What to Bring

What to Bring

Bring lots of layering clothes as you may find it colder on the water than on land.

We recommend the following:

Nighttime

  • Casual clothes for an evening onshore.
  • Wash bag & Towel
  • Sleeping bag (£20 from Argos) + a pillow.
  • Pyjamas

Daytime

  • Hard wearing trousers that dry easily (not jeans)
  • Shorts
  • Warm shirts / t-shirts
  • warm upper body clothing
  • warm jacket(fleece)/warm jacket
  • Cap / woolly hat
  • Rubber soled deck shoes / trainers (no black soles please)
  • Gloves (ideally fingerless)
  • CDS / Ipod
  • Camera, Sunglasses (100% UV protection), Sunblock & lip balm
  • Chocolate & Treats
  • Swimmers

Please store your gear in a soft kit bag or rucksack. Space is at a premium on a yacht and if you bring a suitcase, you may find that your cabinmate is not best pleased :-)

UK weather is unpredictable at best, even in the summer. Being cold will diminish your enjoyment, so please err on the side of caution.

We have access to quality waterproofs (Budget £20), which you can make a decision about based on the weather at the time.

Remember there is no such thing as bad weather just inappropreate clothing !
